Security & Account Health

Passwords and sign-in safety

  • Local accounts: Use a strong password; change it from Settings > Reset Password (only shown for email/password accounts).
  • Google sign-in: If you use Google, password reset happens in Google. You won't see the reset option inside Clubiam.
  • Email verification: Occasionally you may be asked to re-verify your email. Use the latest link you receive.

Session timing

  • You usually stay signed in for about a month. Clearing cookies, switching devices, or long inactivity can end the session sooner.
  • If your session expires, you'll see a sign-in prompt or a "Session expired" message. Sign in again to continue.
  • For safety, background checks refresh your session regularly. If a refresh fails, you'll be logged out and asked to sign in.

Deactivation vs deletion

  • Deactivate account: Temporarily pause your account. Your content stays hidden until you reactivate by signing in again.
  • Delete account: Permanently remove your account and associated content after confirmation. This cannot be undone.
  • Data deletion info: A dedicated Data Deletion page explains what is removed and how long it takes.

Staying safe on shared devices

  • Sign out when you're done on a shared computer.
  • Avoid saving passwords on public devices.
  • If you notice unusual activity, change your password (for local accounts) and sign out of all sessions by logging out and back in.
warning

Repeated failed logins or rapid actions can trigger temporary rate limits. This protects your account. Wait a few minutes before trying again.
