Creating a Club

You can create a Club in two ways: Simple or Advanced. Both start with choosing a unique Club ID.

Choose your Club ID​

  • Use letters, numbers, or underscores (4-20 characters).
  • The ID becomes part of your Club link (for example, &myclub).
  • Clubiam checks availability as you type. Pick another ID if it shows as taken.

Simple creation​

  • Enter the unique ID and confirm.
  • You will land on the Club page and can refine details later.
  • Best for getting started quickly when you already have members waiting.

Advanced creation​

Add more polish from the start:

  • Name and description: Explain what the Club is about and who it's for.
  • Announcement line: A short note for visitors and members (e.g., meeting times, highlights, meet ups etc).
  • Logo and cover: Upload visuals that represent your Club.
  • Categories: Add or reorder categories to group topics (e.g., General, Events, Resources).
  • Guidelines: Draft expectations members must accept when joining.

Keep the name short and clear. Use categories to separate ongoing discussions from announcements so members know where to post.

After creation​

  • Invite people directly from the Club page or from Settings ? Invite Friends.
  • Set visibility and join rules under Settings ? Visibility & Join Policy before you promote your Club widely.
  • Post a welcome topic so newcomers see how to participate.
